Over five years ago, I was working a corporate 9–5 job that, if I’m honest, I didn’t love. I was working long hours, I was pregnant with my second child, and my little boy had just started school. I reached a point where I realised that if I didn’t change something, I would miss out on precious time with my children and spend most of my life working for someone else.

I had always been drawn to the travel industry but retail hours never fitted around family life. When I discovered the opportunity to build a home-based travel business around being a working mum, I took a leap of faith and became an independent travel agent under a host agency.

Fast forward a few years and I was able to leave my corporate career behind. I now work flexibly within the travel industry, with the freedom to work from anywhere and around my family. Travel has become a much bigger part of my life and I now travel more than ever before, combining my love of holidays with earning an income through travel.

Through sharing this opportunity over the years, I’ve personally introduced and supported hundreds of people from all walks of life who have gone on to explore building a home-based travel business under a host agency model. Everyone’s journey looks different, but it has been incredible to watch so many people take their first steps towards greater flexibility, extra income and a lifestyle built around their families.

Did you know that every time you book a holiday, whether it’s directly with a supplier, through an online search engine or via a travel agent, commission is already built into the price? By becoming an independent travel agent under a recognised host agency, you have the opportunity to earn that commission yourself rather than it going to a large company.

As an independent travel agent, you can access a wide range of preferred travel partners and reach out to hotels and suppliers worldwide to secure bookings for your clients. Through the host agency, you are provided with the systems and tools needed to run your own home-based travel business and start earning an income within the travel industry in a flexible way.

When I became an independent travel agent, I was able to become ABTA and ATOL protected through my host agency. The host agency I work with is one of the leading home-based host agencies in the UK and has been operating within the travel industry for over 35 years.

These industry connections have been vital in allowing me to build strong relationships with suppliers and secure competitive rates for my clients. This has enabled me to grow a loyal client base who trust me as their personal travel agent to find the right travel arrangements to suit their needs.

I stumbled across this opportunity whilst scrolling through Instagram, I initially thought it was too good to be true but after watching a Zoom recording explaining the opportunity, I quickly realised it wasn’t in fact to good to be true and lots of people were living a very nice life travelling the world and earning an income whilst doing it… the start up costs were minimal and if it meant I could enjoy more holidays for less and earn on them it was a complete no brainer! I’m now part of an amazing community, I push myself out of my comfort zone on a daily basis and fit it in when it suits me alongside my corporate Monday to Friday job. Last night was our Travel Christmas Social and honestly, I am still taking it all in 🥹🤍 (and laughing at the videos!) 🤣

Sofitel Marrakech 🇲🇦 felt like arriving in a full palm tree paradise!
Every corner was so dreamy and the whole place had that warm, luxe, sun soaked energy. I was instantly obsessed. 🌴✨

So I couldn’t not give a whole post for this beautiful hotel with my honest review…
Breakfast was honestly one of the highlights. Gorgeous pastries, fresh fruit, hot dishes and the star of the morning… the singing omelette man. His smile, songs and vibe every day were unmatched. He genuinely made my day and made me so happy! 😂🫶🏻

The pools were stunning and the best part was how many sunbeds there were. No rushing, no reserving, no stress. Every pool had loads of choice which made relaxing so easy.

The staff were great and made everything feel effortless from start to finish.

Highlights for me:
✨ Palm trees everywhere you look (just my vibe)
✨ Breakfast heaven and an iconic omelette king
✨ Multiple pools with endless sunbeds
✨ Moroccan meets French luxe interiors
✨ Amazing staff and a perfect location - literally 8 mins from the airport and so close to everywhere we needed to go!

Having five of my own team there by my side yesterday was one of those full-circle moments. Seeing them step into their power, connect, grow and dream even bigger reminded me exactly why I do what I do.

For our last night we channelled our inner Mexicans (or me and Darcy did 🤣💃🏼) and we had dinner in one of the hotels A La Carte Restaurants - La Salsa 🌮

The hotel has so many A La Carte restaurants you can book, some are free and others you pay for. But you need to book them in advance as they get booked up so quickly!

The food at La Salsa was amazing and the setting was so cute.

Day 3 – Sensational Day ✨

The belief is bigger than ever.

Network marketing has created more millionaires than any other industry apart from real estate. It makes more money than the music and gaming industries combined. That’s how powerful this industry is.

When I went to my very first convention there were 3 millionaires recognised on stage. This year there were 8. Our CEO shared his vision to create 100 millionaires from this company and after this weekend I know it’s happening. This business gives ordinary people the chance to live extraordinary lives. There’s nothing special about us… anyone can achieve this and that’s the magic of it 🥹

One of my proudest moments was seeing my director Shereen @the_travelsaint recognised again, this time as the top income earner in her rank category ♥️ Beyond proud doesn’t even come close.

And walking the stage alongside my other directors, in front of 8,000 people, was a moment I’ll never forget. Proof of how far we’ve come and how far we’re going 🚀

We also had the privilege of hearing from John C. Maxwell. His keynote on leadership was incredible, full of inspiration that I’ll carry with me forever.

Day three was about vision, leadership and possibility. I came home with my heart full, my notebook overflowing and a fire in my belly like never before 🫶🏻

Convention 2026… I’m already counting down.

Day two at convention - We showed up in white 🤍

The whole day was full of energy, belief and connection. I got to do one of my absolute favourite things - dancing in the aisles during the breaks 💃🏻🔥 The American energy is just next level and I love every second of it.

The training was powerful. One of my favourite quotes of the day was: “Your money lies where your fear is.” That hit hard. You can’t grow if you’re not even prepared to take a risk. Growth lives outside your comfort zone 💫🚀

Then in the evening it was time for our UK Pep Rally and wow… the energy was off the charts ♥️✨ Seeing my girl Shereen @the_travelsaint walk the stage and receive her Fireball Award was everything, so proud of her 🫶🏻🔥

And yes… our CEO literally crowd surfed 😂😂 The whole room was buzzing. It’s those moments that remind me why this business feels so different. it’s fun, it’s family, it’s a community like nothing else

Day two… 10 out of 10 👏🏻

Day One at Convention ♥️🔥

I’m only just sitting down to share my convention highlights because I was so caught up in the moment and taking every minute of each day in. Now I’m home and finally catching my breath 🥹✨

Day one was Red Day ♥️ and the UK showed up loud and proud in this powerful colour. Walking into the convention centre of 8,000 people at the world’s largest Marriott gave me goosebumps. Thousands of us from all over the world, all building our travel businesses, all chasing freedom, growth and community 🚀💫

This was my third year at convention and it still blows me away. I still get that amazing feeling when I come here. Two years ago there were just 6 of us who made the trip. This year we had 45 of us walking in together, head to toe in red, ready to learn and grow 🔥

The training on day one was incredible. Page after page of notes filled with mindset, leadership and belief. These events have given me confidence, community and a vision I never imagined possible. They have accelerated my business year on year and I’m so grateful I get to be in these rooms 🫶🏻✨

Day one done and my heart is so full to be surrounded by these people and to learn from the best 🙌🏻

My baby girl has been asking me for a haircut for weeks, so this morning I gave in. Out came the old hairdressing scissors (I didn’t keep the career but mumma’s still got the skills 🤪).

She asked me to take quite a bit off and was so excited, giggling the whole way through like she was in her very own salon. She loved every second. The boys weren’t allowed to see. I tried to capture the reveal but realised the whole time I hadn’t pressed record 😂. They loved it though and she was so proud showing them - super cute!

Now she’s swishing her hair around the house like a teenager and I’m just sat here wondering when my tiny girl got so grown up. Time really does fly when you’re raising your best little friend 🥹💕

Feeling spoilt and ready for the best year yet. I already know it’s going to be amazing ✨

For years, life was just… passing by.
Up early, rush out the door, sit in traffic, work all day, get home shattered.
Living for the weekend. Counting down to the next holiday.
And by Sunday evening I was already dreading Monday 😭

I honestly thought that was just going to be it for me.
But deep down I knew I wanted more for me and for my family.

Then I found a way of working that completely flipped things on their head.
I could earn from anywhere, have time for the things that actually matter and build something that would outlast me ✨

It didn’t happen overnight but little by little life started to feel lighter. Happier. Mine. Ours. ♥️

Yesterday I went to my first ever wellness retreat with @the_surreybreathcoach at Soul Barns in Reading and it was one of the most grounding and powerful experiences I’ve had in a long time 🥹

I booked it on a whim after a recommendation and needing some release. I went alone and arrived to find four of my friends there too!! None of us had told each other we were going. It honestly felt like we were meant to share that space together, I always believe in things happening for a reason and this was definitely one of them 💫

The day began with yoga, journalling and setting intentions. I’ve been feeling really heavy recently and just needed to release and get back in my zone.

The breathwork session was so emotional, powerful and unlike anything I’ve ever done before. Literally incredible! Had lunch.. how gorge is that grazing platter btw 😍
And then we did a high-energy Kundalini session which was amazing and finished the day with a card pull that completely summed up my experience 🔮

What made it even more special was sharing the room with these incredible ladies and getting to know people on a deeper level, even if you’ve only just met! ✨

If you’ve never tried something like this, I can’t recommend it enough. It was so healing, energising and exactly what I needed 🤍

This week was a lot 🤯
Work was full-on, we had the shock news that one of our lovely agents passed away and I just felt completely overwhelmed. ❤️‍🩹

Social media can make everything look perfect, but real life last week was definitely not that. And that’s just being completely honest which I think is so important for us all to be sometimes!

Butttt… this weekend was exactly what I needed so here’s some highlights of the weekend that filled my cup again 🥰
We celebrated my Uncle Rob’s surprise 60th, did an early Father’s Day for Dave and had a Sunday full of fun at the fair and by the river with friends.

Feeling grateful for all the amazing people around me and feeling much more like me again today!
Now just need the kids to stop asking for snacks every 3 minutes and we’re winning 😂
